Printing Resources

Now that you are your own designer, you need a place to print. There are too many online and local print providers to count, so I've listed a few of my favorites below. I always prefer to buy local because there are no shipping times, I can request proofs, paper and ink samples and nothing beats talking to someone face to face.

But if I need 500 postcards in 5 days and I have a super tight budget- online printing is the usually the best method. Always request a hardcopy proof to garentee your colors are accurate.I recommend researching your your document specs at each site and finding the best deal for you. These sites often have sales, so it pays to research if you have the time. Here are some vendors I've had success with:

Thank you!

Melissa,

Thank you so much for the class. It was very organized and extremely useful especially in that you answered all of our questions. I finally got the updated program, yey! I started to update my mom’s website. I changed her logo using the gradient tool. I wanted to blend part of a painting into the black background. Using a black gradient, I faded out about ¼ of the top of the painting. It also faded out the white flowers but I painted over the visible shadows back to what they looked like to make it appear that they are transitioning into the black background. I loved the final product and so did she.

Is there a way of keeping part of a picture/photo constant while I vary other aspects of it in a shorter amount of time?

Tri Fold me pamphlet

I decided I wanted to make a little tri fold information packet with a few images of my sculpture, some contact info and an artist's statement. Although the statement is kind bad, I think the layout is a good start. I like the dark outside and light inside when it opens up. I am going to add some drop shadows, get rid of some outlines, add another picture, etc. I've got plans, but this is it in progress.
